grocery store in westlake shopping center
does anyone know anything about that delano's grocery store thingy in west davis? the one that is supposedly moving into the empty spot where the food faire grocery store used to be on lake? i'm just curious, it said it was "coming december 2009" and i drove by it the other day and i couldn't tell if it was finished yet or not...and also the name didn't say delano's, so i'm not sure if it's just called something different but by the same people?

	We're having our training days today and tomorrow. The store opens at 9am on Friday. Yes, it's run by the Delano family-- just called Westlake IGA as a nod to the Westlake Shopping Center. They sent out a circular earlier in the week featuring grand-opening specials. Hopefully there will be a good, steady turn-out or else I'll be out a job... (Reply to this) (Thread)

	I don't know... I assume they've done all the hiring they need for the moment, but it's always possible that there will be some degree of attrition among the staff. It would probably be safe to fill out (and turn in) an application. You might wait until Monday to do that, tho. We're hoping to be pretty busy over the weekend. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	IGA grocery stores are good! there is a Delano's in SF and I really like it. I'm excited for all you davisites! -recent grad, don't feel like logging in (Reply to this)
