I don't want SHIP, and I don't have health insurance. Can I still waive SHIP? How can I get out of it?

It is selfish, evil people like you who end up in the hospital and make taxpayers foot the bill. Burn in hell, bitch.

Extreme much?
You don't know what the person's situation is like. What if they simply can't afford it? I wouldn't call that evil or selfish, necessarily.

This is the most retarded thing I have ever heard someone ask.

If you're riding your bike and some idiot runs a red light or breaks another traffic law and hits you, or if you come down with some horrible sickness and need to be treated, or you fall down drunk on your face and bust yourself up ... or get into any sort of accident where you're hurt, need meds, or other treatment, I'm sure you'd see the stupidity of this question.

According to the UC Davis website, the UC system requires all students to have health insurance. Either you enroll in SHIP or sign the waiver that you already have health insurance.

You can check out http://www.ehealthinsurance.com/ and buy a cheaper insurance plan and then waive that you do not need SHIP. Anyway just a suggestion.

I'm pretty sure you have to waive it before you pay the SHIP fee for the quarter.

You need to sign the waiver and also show that you have proof of health insurance through another company. Otherwise you are automatically enrolled on SHIP.
